Kanto UKI Speakers: Big Sound in a Small, Budget-Friendly Package

Kanto has unveiled its 2025 speaker lineup, a series of powered speakers designed to meet a wide range of audio needs, from desktop setups to living room entertainment systems. The new collection; the UKI, complements the REN, and ORA speakers, showcases Kanto’s commitment to combining sleek design, versatile connectivity, and high-fidelity sound.

    Kanto UKI: Entry-Level Hi-Fi

The Kanto UKI is an affordable bookshelf speaker designed to introduce a new generation of listeners to high-fidelity audio. With a distinctive clam-shell design and a choice of four matte finishes (black, white, cobalt, and sage), the UKI stands out aesthetically from traditional boxy speakers.

Despite its budget-friendly price, it doesn’t skimp on features. It boasts a 6.35mm silk dome tweeter and a 7.6cm concave cone midrange/woofer, promising clear and detailed sound.

The UKI is a versatile option with Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C, RCA, and a subwoofer output, making it perfect for desktop use or pairing with a turntable.

“Following the successful 2024 debut of ORA4 and REN, the UKI is a great introduction to the Kanto Audio sound,” says Brett Smalley, Kanto Audio.

She also adds that as the company looks to widen its presence in Europe at speed in 2025, the UKI launch is an adition to the full speaker range of Kanto in 2025.

The Kanto UKI is poised to be a game-changer in the budget-friendly Hi-Fi market. This compact bookshelf speaker is designed for a new generation of listeners, combining an eye-catching, unique clamshell design with a sound that far exceeds its size and price. Available in four matte finishes—black, white, cobalt, and sage—the UKI is a statement piece that fits seamlessly into modern living spaces, home offices, or dorm rooms.

    Beautiful Design, Immersive Sound

Underneath its stylish exterior, the UKI is engineered for impressive audio performance. Each speaker features a 3-inch concave cone driver for clear midrange and bass, paired with a 3/4-inch silk dome tweeter for crisp, detailed highs. The speakers are bi-amplified with a Class D design, providing a total of 100 watts of peak power. This ensures the UKI can deliver a robust and clear sound, even in larger rooms.

    The UKI Connectivity & Features

Connectivity is a key strength of the Kanto UKI. It includes versatile inputs like Bluetooth 5.0 for seamless wireless streaming, a USB-C input for a high-quality bit-perfect connection to a computer, and RCA inputs for traditional setups, including compatibility with modern turntables.

For those who crave more bass, a subwoofer output with an automatic low-pass filter makes it easy to add a powered subwoofer. The inclusion of a 3.5mm headphone jack is a thoughtful touch, making the UKI a perfect all-in-one solution for both private listening and room-filling sound.

    Availability And Price

The Kanto UKI speakers were officially revealed at CES 2025 and are slated for a release in the second half of 2025, specifically in the fourth quarter. The UKI will launch at the price of $199 and £199.
