If you’re after a loud way to celebrate, then you’re in luck—Samsung recently announced its new Sound Tower (ST50F and ST40F models), a pair of speakers designed for parties and large gatherings. As with a lot of other party speakers on the market, the new models combine powerful audio with built-in lighting effects, in addition to several other features.

Samsung says that the speakers feature a redesigned acoustic structure that delivers up to 240W of sound, along with Samsung’s Waveguide technology for a wider soundstage, and dual woofers with customizable bass for Deep, Punchy, and Gentle modes. The speakers also offer four additional sound settings consisting of Standard, Wide, Stadium, and Outdoor modes.
A key feature on the speaker is Samsung’s Party Lights+ system, which uses an array of LED lights that syncs in real-time with the music. Users can control the lights with the Samsung Sound Tower App, which includes five different mood presets and six dynamic patterns. The lighting extends across five key areas of the speaker, including the ring lights around the tweeters and a handle light that illuminates the control panel.
In terms of design, the speakers come encased in a rugged build—the ST50F model includes wheels and a telescopic handle for easy transport, while the ST40F features a built-in handle. Both models are IPX4 water-resistant, and Samsung claims a battery life of up to 18 hours for the ST50F and up to 12 hours for the ST40F. They’re now available globally.
