Re: Should i get rid of my touch pro and get a palm pre
i chose the pre for the capacitive screen, multitouch and completely polished and redone OS, not just a cover up and also i dont need to hunt down 3rd party contact managers, browsers, pics app etc. etc. that does the functions that should have been there in the first place. If i want to add apps or flash a rom it should be to add to the fun of the device not out of need just to have it run decently. More apps should drop soon also with the App catalog just like the Marketplace
bottom line, try one out and see how you like it or compare to the Pro2Last edited by Mike20PR; June 08, 2009, 03:31 PM.....................Ultimate NOOB Guide CLICK HERE....................

thanks for the opinion,so is the pres browser better then opera or skyfire on the pro?alls in personal opinion so our opinions wont matter as much as yours. personally i will get the Pre but i know im giving up endless customization that winmo has and current hacking abilities, so if that is your thing, stay with the pro or the pro2 that should drop soon

faster and smoother than opera but not faster than skyfire which is server rendered and no flash. it does integrate with the youtube app so when you go to a video it automatically opens the app and plays the video.i like it a lot IMO....................Ultimate NOOB Guide CLICK HERE....................

Re: Should i get rid of my touch pro and get a palm pre
well the bowser is a major plus to this device. basically it runs very smooth and is the best mimic of the iphone browser to date. if you like the customization game than stay windows mobile for now until this is further developed. if you decide that you dont need the mod factor right now and you can right go for the pre... each phone as its ups and downs like the internet browsers, being able to hack more on one than the other, app base, multitiuch, etc.Comment

i would stay with the pro for now but the pre does have a cool interface and it looks like it flows real smooth but i would still stay with pro for now.......Comment

IMO palm cant touch winmo in any aspect. The apps that you can add to a winmo phone far outweigh the slickness of a web browser. If the Iphone cant get you away from the TP then the palm shouldnt even be a question.Comment

I will give you $50 for the pro so you can use it towards your Pre' purchase. I had the pre took it back and got the touch pro so I don't know its all personal preference but I had both and Touch Prizzzo all the way for me.Comment
