Palm Pre on Verizon: Still a Possibility

According to Digital Daily, analysts are thinking yesterday's rumor that Verizon may skip the Pre is poppycock. Deutsche Bank's Jonathan Goldberg writes:
Meanwhile, Bloomberg received a statement from Palm that, while it's not a straight denial, definitely adds another bucket of cold water. They write that Palm has "reiterated its plan to work with additional wireless carriers in the second half of fiscal 2010." "Additional carriers" doesn't necessarily mean "Verizon," of course -- especially since we've heard plenty of rumors that the Pixi will hit AT&T.
In other words, Don't Panic.
Update: Palm, while they "don't comment on rumors and speculation" does "point out that in a press release we issues yesterday, Palm re-affirmed it's fiscal year 2010 outlook and planned product and carrier launches in the second half of Palm’s fiscal year ending in May 2010." Here's the relevant bit from the press release where Palm announced they're exercising their over-allotment option:
