very interesting strategy to go by, they would be the first to do this and would win over a lot of the game since they can now get the smartphones that they have heard so much about running the android interface by google that they will get it just for the deal and not think twice about the ads. this is great marketing on googles part and in my opinion they are beating apple at their own game in advertising. apple used to be the ones that got you in with their flashy commercials and such but with the expansion and the mass amounts of android commercials appearing compared to apple commercials are getting people familiar with the name and than bwam heres one for free with contract or renewal or one for 50-100 bucks.... they are gonna steal a lot of customers from apple and put the pressuer on them and at the same time they are going to put a lot of pressure on microsoft alone since they have to stay competitive and might be forced to now make their own device with the microsoft branding.
