are you using something like total commander or resco file explorer 7.05 to overwrite the image files in the windows folder?

ya i have resco....but it never asked to overwrite the file...it pasted and the only welcome head is the one i pasted....so idk....

than your doing something wrong and not pasting to the right area because it will ask to overwrite if you are.... even with the stock file explorer.....

ya maybe...i'm pasting it in the windows folder wich is the right place, but no big deal...not the end of the world...thank for the help though.

if your running a custom rom though the files may be in a folder that you have to overwrite.... so i would be sure to look in the folders and not just the loose files in the windows folder.

naw it's stock 6.1 but i'll look around an see if i moved it around for some reason....thanks..

yes i got it to work! i had to use resco explorer in orger to over-write the existing bootup screen. i also had to resize the picture so that it took up the whole screen because at first i had 2 black lines on each side of the screen. it looks and works good now thou! thanks...

its not workin for me mad. ive tryed deleting ta old one . over writing , changing the old one to "old" cope paste in windows... and no luck. i give up... enless u guys can help.... thanks

Did you use resco explorer to do the copy and paste/overwrite?

used total com... i even renamed the old file then pasted the new one !!

It should work then, but in any case, you can use advance config and make any png your boot screen...no matter what folder its in. Try that out:)

Hey guys, I might be sent to a noob section for asking this but I will ask anyway. (Tehe) I got the part about renaming the file to Welcomehead.96.png, but where is the "Windows" Folder?? So I can drop the file in it.
I am looking in my Sync Folder which inside it has a bunch of other folders like, Business, My Ringtones, Personal, Bluetooth Share, My Music, etc. Please help??

if you are trying to do through your pc you will need unlock the hidden files.... you can do on your phone easy by finding under main memory/windows

I suck at this bro, I cant even do the simplest thing...Im gonna get it though..
Ok so if I'm viewing the picture I want, right click and save it to any folder on my home PC. Then should I open it and rename it, to welcomehead.96.png. Then what comes next? Should I hook up my TouchPro to the PC like Im going to syn it?

place it on your storage card after you convert to png..... than copy and paste in the windows folder using either total commander or resco file explorer and choose to overwrite the file when it asks you too.

Ok, I renamed it, draged into the DCIM folder, Now where is the Windows folder? Is it the folder called "Windows Live" under Start, Programs?
Now I did a search for Resco File Explorer, or Total Commander, but nothing came up. Is that a program I have to have on the Touch pro in order to copy and paste??....I give up. This is killing me! haha!
